2 May 2005: We finished Empúries-L'Escala marathon. It was the hell: the weather was extremely hot and we suffered a lot. Lucky us of the wind. Gabi 4h 34', me 4h 55'.

16 Jan 2004: La peluquería de un amigo en Barcelona: Peluquería Ramiro

Travels:

30 Dec 2004: we went to London a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately just for a weekend.

15 Dec 2004: some weeks ago, I went some days to Italy (Fano and Rome) - Fano, for job; Rome, for pleasure. ;-)

2-18 Aug 2004: Chile --> Santiago, Atacama desert, Valparaíso + Isla Negra

See my travels (in Catalan).

Books:

Now reading "The Da Vinci Code" by the American author Dan Brown.

I also like a lot reading biographies. In the last months, I have read Julio Cortázar's (Argetinian author), Fernando Savater's (Spanish philosopher), Winston Churchill's (English politician), Chavela Vargas' (Mexican artist) and Antonio Gala's (Spanish author) biographies.

My last favourite author: Ryszard Kapuscinski, a polish reporter ("the best of 20th century" somebody has said). You have to read his book "Ebony" (in Spanish: "Ébano", Ed. Anagrama). A book about the real Africa. Very recommended! (I also have read his book "The Emperor". About Haile Selassie, the last emperor of Ethiopia).

See some of my favourite bookshops (in Spanish).

Films:

Last watched: "Life is a miracle" by the very funny Bosnian director Emir Kusturica.

Before:
- "Der Untergang" (The Downfall). By the German film director Oliver Hirschbiegel. Too long for me... The last days of Hitler.
- "Walk on water". By the Israelian director Eytan Fox. I enjoyed it!
- "El lobo". About an infiltrated in ETA. I liked it very much.
- "El asombroso mundo de Borja Mari y Pocholo". Very very bad film... By the Spanish film director Alex de la Iglesia. I liked very much Torrente I and II but this one...
- "11'09''01 - September 11" by 11 different directors. Some part, shocking.
- "Cámara oscura" by the Catalan director Pau Freixas. Awful...
- "Fahrenheit 9/11" by Michael Moore. You have to watch it.
- "A Clockwork Orange" (1971) by Stanley Kubrick. Impressive film!
- "Te doy mis ojos" (Take My Eyes). About domestic violence. I liked it a lot.
- "En la ciudad" (In the City). Set in Barcelona. About the problems of the people in their 30's. Not too bad but I thougth it would be better.
- "Suite Habana". A documentary without dialogues. Didn't like it very much.
- "The Basque Ball (the Skin against the Stone)" by Julio Medem.
